Libbi and Yoilish decide to get engaged, while Libbi promises to stop writing and devote herself to building their home. The Shtisel and Vermout families meet to celebrate their children’s engagement. Despite the tension between them, Nuchem and Vermout shake hands and agree to turn over a new leaf. Libbi’s surprised to find out that Chana Weinberger plagiarized Libbi’s book and published it as her own. After Chana confesses to her, and as part of her new path, Libbi signs over the copyrights. Penina is angry after finding out that Nuchem is back in touch with his ex-wife and kicks him out of the restaurant, while Yides notifies Nuchem that she’s in no way interested in pursuing their relationship. And if that’s not enough, then Nuchem is also served a lawsuit from the rabbinical court for frauds against widows from the community.
When a journalist calls Libbi to interview her about the stolen book, Yoilish finds out that Libbi wrote a book he didn’t know about, and angrily leaves her.
