The Tomb of Joseph, the son of Jacob and Rachel Imeinu, is located on the outskirts of Nablus, near the Balata Refugee Camp. Within the complex lies also the tomb of the Muslim Sheikh Yusuf Dawiqat. The Jewish settlers turned the place into a synagogue claiming that this was the Tomb of Joseph. Over the years the place has claimed a high price in the blood of dozens of Jews and Muslims. People come in at night to avoid friction between observant Jews and the Palestinian population. 2500 worshippers arrive in armored vehicles, and in an ecstatic trance accompanied by singing and dancing they cry out for the entirety of the Jewish people.
