Jews, Third Time

As the State of Israel celebrates 70 years of independence, Rino Zror compares between the current Jewish state and the previous, historical ones. The resemblance is overwhelming. Only twice before can a full Jewish sovereignty be found: one lasted only 75 years, during the First Temple period, and the second only lasted 66 years, during the Second Temple period. Both kingdoms collapsed abruptly, within two years. What happened? Why? Can't the Jews hold on to their own sovereignty? Is it an inherent fault? And most importantly, how can the third sovereignty avoid such a fate?
